Engineering sales representatives are responsible for demonstration, promotion, and selling of technical devices and machinery to other businesses. In regard to education requirements, a bachelor ´s degree in engineering is mandatory, because they have to explain clients how machinery works to clear up any doubts that arise from the product. In addition, detail-oriented, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills are also required. Since they work on a commission basis, they put a lot of effort to reach sales targets.
